For 15 years running, racers have enjoyed this fast, downhill race in Austin, Texas. The 3M Half Marathon & Relay is the river city's third largest distance road racing event. The 3M Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile course going north to south through urban setting. This chip-timed, perennial Austin favorite offers one of the best goodie bags in the distance running. It also features water every other mile; power drink at miles 4,8,and 12; mile markers every mile; split timers every other mile; clothing drop off at start; police controlled major intersections; entertainment and medical support along the course; food at the finish, and return bus transport from the finish to the start upon completion.

3M was a great race even though there were a lot of up hills there were just as many down hills. My time improved by 15 minutes and not to mention the awesome 3M goodie bag they give you when you pick up your packet.
This is another great race that I would recommend to anyone who can keep at least a 14min a mile pace. So if you haven't trained very well I probably wouldn't recomend it, But I wouldn't discourage you from doing it.
