The Clear Creek running through Clear Creek Canyon is a great kayaking and fly fishing destination. Almost the entire river is accessible right off the highway. At just about any pulloff along Hwy 6 is a great fishing hole.

This section of the river has primarily brown trout and they get heavily fished.

When the water is high, your best bet is to stick to the bends and the sections of the creek where it occasionally splits. Fish the smaller splt/water and your are sure to find hungry browns waiting in the pocket water. Also be careful when wading this creek as it can get quite powerful when the waters are high.
