Pretty nice after work trail run. Betasso's Canyon Loop Trail is a fairly nice singletrack trail with a couple of rocky portions in places. If you do the clockwise direction, you start off with a short climb over some rocky trail, and then begin a long decent punctuated by a couple of short little climbs. You soon come to a rock field that is pretty fun to go through. Descend some more and go along the wildflowers. You'll start to come into a forested area about half way through and you'll start climbing again until you finish the run at the trail head. Nice little trail, and it's off limits to bikers on Wed & Sat. Most of the bikers I've come across were pretty cool & gave me wide space to pass. It's nice to run against the bike traffic (they can only go one direction currently) since you won't have to worry about cyclists trying to pass you on the narrow portions.

If you're feeling extra spry- try running the Connector trail (1.25 mi one way) of CO-119.. It starts off with a steep rocky ascent, but levels out to a nice climb after a couple hundred feet. From downtown Boulder, take Canyon Rd. towards Nederland. Canyon Rd. becomes CO-119. Go 6 miles from Boulder and turn right onto Sugarloaf Road. Take Sugarloaf road until you get to the Preserve. There is ample parking since many of the other users bike up there.

To get to the connector trail, keep an eye out for a discreet little trail right before the tunnel on CO-119. It's about 50 yds east of the tunnel, and there is enough space to park there. Beware of cyclists bombing down the Connector, though.
