The northernmost Flatiron is perched high above Chataugua Park on the east face of Green Mountain. This Flatiron has a few routes over 1000ft long. Most of the routes are easy, but they tend to be a bit run out.
Popular Routes
- North Arete (5.4)
- Direct east Face (5.6)
Directions
Chataugua Park is located in west-central Boulder off off Baseling Road - just look for the Flatirons and drive toward them. Once at Chataugua Park, head up the old (closed) asphalt road behind the ranger's station. At the Bluebell Shelter, take Bluebell Baird Trail to the Flatiron.

This rock has several great (and easy) routes with towering views over Boulder and the Front Range from the summit. They are much longer routes than they look, especially the Direct East Face which is probably one of the longest routes in the Boulder area.
