Located in Lake County, the lakes are 2 miles west of Highway 24. There are three campgrounds with 104 campsites available. Campsites are administered by the U.S. Forest Service, Pike and San Isabel National Forest. No RV hook-ups or shower facilites are available. The reservoir has 2,440 surface acres available with Rainbow, Brook, and Mackinaw Trout as the primary fish species. Twin Lakes Dam and reservoir are features of the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project.
Directions
Approximately 13 miles south of Leadville, and 2 miles west of US Highway 24, on Colorado Highway 82.
